About the Role

As a Senior Clinical Administration Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth and efficient delivery of services within our Integrated Care Geriatrics team, helping older people in our community to access the care they need. Reporting to the Clinical Administration Coordinator, you’ll bring your organisational skills, attention to detail and passion for teamwork to ensure high-quality, confidential and accessible administration support is consistently provided. From scheduling patients and managing records, to coordinating resources and supporting staff, your contribution will make a real difference to both patients and colleagues alike.

This is a dynamic and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll be part of a supportive leadership team, guiding and mentoring site-based clinical administration staff, while also helping to drive improvements in systems and processes that benefit patients and services across the Division. With responsibilities ranging from patient administration and Medicare billing to staff management processes, reporting and resource coordination, you’ll enjoy a role that is both diverse and meaningful. Based at our Integrated Care site at Sefton Park, you’ll thrive in a collaborative environment where your skills, initiative and ideas are valued.

About You

You are a proactive and adaptable professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, bringing strong leadership, organisational and communication skills to everything you do. With your ability to manage competing priorities while supporting both patients and colleagues, you’ll be confident in taking initiative and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – with the ability to build positive relationships, resolve issues effectively and maintain discretion when handling sensitive or confidential matters.

  • Proven administrative and supervisory experience – including expertise in patient information systems, medical record keeping and Microsoft Office programs, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.

  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills – demonstrating initiative, drive and resilience to navigate change while delivering high-quality outcomes in a complex environment.

  • Knowledge of healthcare systems and processes – including HR and WHS requirements, data reporting, and experience working with diverse and vulnerable populations.
