About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and organised Administration Officer to join the Central Adelaide Palliative Care Service (CAPCS). In this rewarding role, you will provide vital secretarial and administrative support to a compassionate multidisciplinary team that delivers care to patients and families across both hospital and community settings. Your day-to-day tasks will include managing reception duties, processing referrals, handling confidential correspondence, and ensuring the smooth running of office systems.

Working closely with the ASO3 Administration Lead, you will also support meetings by preparing agendas and taking accurate minutes, while maintaining a professional and confidential approach in all interactions. This is a meaningful opportunity to use your administrative expertise in a role that supports the delivery of high-quality palliative care, making a real difference in the lives of others.

About You

You are a detail-oriented and compassionate administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. With strong communication and technical skills, you are committed to supporting patients, families, and staff with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.

  • Proficient in medical typing, data entry, and using Microsoft Office and hospital systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong sense of confidentiality

  • Proven ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or in a team

  • Experienced in healthcare administration, with sound knowledge of medical terminology and WHS policies
