Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to make a meaningful impact in aged care? Naracoorte Hospital is seeking a skilled Casual Direct Care Worker to assist in providing exceptional care and support to our residents in the Residential Care Home.

About the Role: As a Casual Direct Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in delivering personalised care to our elderly residents. Your responsibilities will include assisting with personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, and mobility support, as well as maintaining a clean and safe environment for both residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance with bathing, showering, personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support toileting and continence management for residents.
  • Aid in feeding residents and maintaining their mobility through transferring and lifting, including using mechanical aides.
  • Perform routine tasks such as bed making, cleaning equipment and aids, and distributing clean laundry.
  • Record general observations, contribute to resident assessments, and identify diversional therapy needs.
  • Complete documentation according to established policies and procedures.
