About the Role

ASO-6   As a Safety and Quality Consultant within CALHN’s Acute and Urgent Care Program, you will be at the forefront of driving excellence in patient care by ensuring systems, processes and governance frameworks meet the highest safety and quality standards. Reporting to the Clinical Program Delivery Manager through the Clinical Practice Director, you will lead and support initiatives that address gaps between practice and policy, promote compliance with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, and foster a positive, patient-focused culture. You will play a key role in shaping and delivering the Safety and Quality Plan, coordinating reform projects, managing quality improvement and risk processes, and providing accurate, timely data to guide decision-making. Through your expertise, you will help position the program for accreditation success while empowering teams to achieve consistently safe, high-quality outcomes for patients and the community.

RN-3  As a Safety and Quality Consultant within CALHN’s Acute and Urgent Care Program, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping safe, effective and high-quality clinical services. Drawing on your clinical expertise, you will support the multi-disciplinary team and advise Senior Leadership on patient safety, quality, accreditation, and risk management, while leading business improvement initiatives. You’ll champion clinical improvement projects aligned to CALHN’s strategic priorities, using data and health information technology to identify opportunities, measure impact, and drive change. Working as part of a collaborative central Safety and Quality team, you will help build capability in quality improvement across the Local Health Network, contributing to a positive workplace culture and better health outcomes for our patients and community.
