Join SALHN's innovative Rehabilitation Team as an AHP2 Physiotherapist for both Home Rehabilitation and Mobile Rehabilitation Teams.  Home Rehabilitation: This multidisciplinary Home Rehabilitation service supports early hospital discharge by delivering expert rehabilitation services to patients in their home environment across Adelaide's southern suburbs. 
Mobile Rehabilitation Team: This multidisciplinary team is provides early in-reach rehabilitation to patients in the acute hospital, focusing on maximising functional outcomes and early discharge to ambulatory rehabilitation settings.

About the role: 

Reporting to the Home Rehabilitation and Mobile Rehabilitation Team Manager, some of your duties for the role will include:

  • Work in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team to effectively plan and provide therapeutic interventions based on patient goals
  • Clinical Physiotherapy assessment of patients’ physical abilities, and goals using a variety of formal and informal assessments
  • Communicating with patients’ family, carers and other service providers
  • Providing a consultative service advice regarding Physiotherapy to other team members, disciplines and agencies
  • Participating in interdisciplinary clinical and planning activities to enhance the overall service provided to patients
  • Participating in, and, where appropriate initiating quality and service improvement activities within the team
  • Devise therapy programs and supervise Therapy Assistants in their implementation of these

About you:

  • Ability to assess and provide appropriate Physio-therapeutic management to the patients of the ambulatory rehabilitation service with increasing levels of complexity
  • Experience as a clinician in the assessment and provision of high quality rehabilitation to clients with a variety of conditions requiring a rehabilitative approach
  • High levels of responsibility and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, delegate appropriately.  This includes the ability to supervise students and allied health assistants.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining high standards of physiotherapy
  • High level interpersonal, negotiating, counselling and problem solving skills with the ability to communicate with clients, other professional staff and community agencies both verbally and in writing
