About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Division of Paediatric Medicine team as Clinical Nurse – Educator, where you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering evidence-based, person-centred clinical nursing care while overseeing patient care plans and nursing teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Supporting Nurse Unit Manager and Nurse Educators in clinical, educational, and management activities, promoting quality and consistency of care.
  • Leading and coordinating clinical education programs, staff orientation, and professional development to foster a strong learning culture.
  • Participating in clinical research, audits, and quality improvement initiatives to advance patient care and service excellence.
  • Providing leadership and act as a resource for nursing staff, supporting change management and resolving care delivery challenges.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Registered Nurse with current or eligible registration and practicing certificate from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Minimum 3 years post-graduation experience or classification as a Clinical Nurse/Associate Nurse Unit Manager.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience supervising nursing staff and facilitating clinical education.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and relate to diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, professional standards, quality improvement systems, and contemporary healthcare issues.
