About the Role

Are you a passionate and experienced health professional ready to lead a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic public health setting? The Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN) is seeking a highly motivated Environmental Health Centre Team Leader to manage and coordinate services at the Port Pirie Environmental Health Centre.

This unique multi-classified role is open to applicants from Allied Health, Administrative Services, and Nursing/Midwifery backgrounds, offering flexibility and recognition of diverse professional expertise.

As Team Leader, you will:

  • Lead the operational management of the Environmental Health Centre and its associated programs.
  • Deliver and oversee the Blood Lead Monitoring Program for children, pregnant women, and at-risk individuals.
  • Contribute to the Port Pirie Lead Implementation Program and Targeted Lead Abatement Program.
  • Provide strategic leadership, workforce development, and service planning across YNLHN Community Health Services.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, evidence-based practice, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multidisciplinary teams including allied health, nursing, and administrative staff.
  • Ensure services are client-centred, culturally safe, and aligned with public health guidelines.
  • Lead service evaluation, data collection, and reporting against key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve health outcomes in Port Pirie.
  • Support clinical education, supervision, and professional development.
