Project Manager - Transform Patient Care with SALHN

Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) is committed to enhancing the delivery of healthcare services in the region. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Officer to join our team and contribute to the improvement of patient care within the division of Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative Care.

This role will be integral in achieving our mission of creating enhanced access to and sustainability in the delivery of in-patient and out-of-hospital rehabilitation, aged care, and palliative care services.

About the role: 

  • Project Leadership: Leading the implementation of multiple projects with  varied portfolios - to improve quality of patient care, driving quality and outcome improvements.
  • Strategic Planning: Contributing to SALHN's  plan by developing and continuously reviewing strategies to effect service change.
  • Project Management: Coordinating and managing projects, programs, and research initiatives to enhance patient/client outcomes and service delivery.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with relevant governance bodies, committees, and stakeholders to support project objectives.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Developing policies, procedures, work instructions, and training modules to operationalize reform strategies and projects.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Facilitating collaboration with clinical divisions and key stakeholders to identify new care models.

Please note: This position is multi-classed as either ASO7, RN3 or AHP4 and classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.

About you:

  • (ASO7) Experience in a range of project work involving both teamwork and individual effort.
  • (RN3) Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • (AHP4) Appropriate qualification in an Allied Health discipline from a recognised tertiary institution resulting in registration or giving eligibility for membership with the professional association.

  • Proven ability to organise, manage and administer significant projects to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Ability to work under broad direction in the execution and completion of tasks working with minimum supervision, applying initiative and judgement.
  • Experience in project management, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience in change management.
  • Knowledge of healthcare policies and procedures.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Experience in risk management and quality improvement.
