About the Role

As a Dermatology Nurse Consultant/Nurse Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing expert clinical care and leadership within a supportive and dynamic environment. You will work closely with patients, guiding them through their treatment journey, from screening and administering therapies to ongoing education, follow-up and support. With a focus on patient-centred care, you will also take responsibility for treatment coordination, clinical documentation, and ensuring access to important services such as Medicare PBS applications.

This role offers a high degree of autonomy and the opportunity to influence care at both an individual and service level. You will provide clinical leadership to nursing staff, contribute to projects and programs that improve outcomes, and play an integral role in shaping best practice in dermatology care. Whether providing direct patient care or developing your expertise as a Nurse Practitioner candidate under supportive supervision, you will be making a meaningful difference to the lives of patients while advancing nursing leadership in this specialist field.

About You

You are an experienced and dedicated nurse who brings strong clinical expertise, leadership skills and a passion for advancing patient care. With a collaborative approach and a commitment to professional development, you thrive in dynamic clinical environments and are confident in leading change and fostering staff growth.

  • Registered Nurse with at least 3 years’ post-registration experience and relevant clinical expertise

  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive change

  • Experience mentoring, supervising and developing junior staff within a multidisciplinary team

  • Knowledge of contemporary nursing practice, standards, legislation and patient safety frameworks
