About the Role:

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a dedicated Associate Nurse Unit Manager to lead our Recovery unit.

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is a leading provider of public healthcare services in South Australia.

As Associate Nurse Unit Manager - Recovery, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional post-operative care whilst supporting clinical governance and staff development. In this role, you'll directly contribute to positive patient experiences during critical recovery phases, mentor emerging nursing talent and help shape the future of healthcare delivery.

The perioperative suite at the Lyell McEwin Hospital contains:

  • theatre holding bay
  • 9 operating theatres
  • 1 procedure room
  • 18 bay recovery unit

We perform high acuity complex surgeries including, but not limited to, liver resections, major colorectal and upper GI surgery, major urology surgery, complex caesarean sections, bariatric surgery, major and trauma orthopaedics.

Other types of procedures performed include gynaecology, plastics, ENT, paediatric, dental, ECT, gastroscopies and colonoscopies.

A significant volume of our procedures are emergency cases and we are supported by a large HDU/ICU.

There will at times be opportunities to support Modbury Hospital perioperative areas and you may be required to work across both sites.

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
