About the Role

As a Research Assistant within the Centre for Treatment of Anxiety and Depression (CTAD), you will play an important role in advancing mental health research that directly improves patient care and service delivery. Working under the guidance of the Lead Research Fellow and experienced clinician researchers, you will support a range of research activities focused on using routine clinical data to enhance outcomes for individuals accessing mental health services. This includes assisting with the collection, collation, and processing of clinical data, as well as preparing key research documentation that supports ongoing and future projects.

This position is ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with degree-level qualifications who is passionate about developing their research skills in a dynamic healthcare environment. You will gain valuable hands-on experience in mental health research and have opportunities to expand your professional expertise through post-graduate development. By contributing to impactful, data-driven projects, you will help strengthen CTAD’s mission to translate clinical insights into improved care and innovation across mental health services.

About You

You are an enthusiastic and motivated early-career professional with a passion for mental health research and improving patient outcomes. With a strong foundation in health or behavioural sciences, you bring curiosity, attention to detail, and a commitment to learning to every task. You thrive in collaborative environments, value accuracy and ethical integrity in your work, and are eager to contribute to meaningful research that makes a difference in healthcare delivery.

  • Educational Foundation: Hold a degree-level qualification in Psychology, Health Sciences, Public Health, or a related discipline.

  • Research Capability: Demonstrate the ability to follow research protocols, maintain ethical standards, and apply analytical thinking in data-driven projects.

  • Technical Proficiency: Possess experience or familiarity with data analysis tools such as SPSS, R, or Excel, with a keen eye for data accuracy and interpretation.

  • Teamwork & Growth: Show strong organisational and communication skills, thrive in team settings, and embrace continuous professional development in the research field.
