SA Health, a leading public healthcare provider in South Australia, is seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our team as an Administration Officer - Clinical Governance Unit. The contract positions, based at the Flinders Medical Centre, offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

About the role

Reporting to the Advanced Nurse Manager you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. Based at the Flinders Medical Centre, you will be part of the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network, contributing to the well-being of the local community. Duties for the role will include:

  • Manage an effective and efficient administrative service to the Quality and Risk Manager,
  • Manage matters as broadly directed by the Quality and Risk Manager to support the office environment, and the role and function of the Quality and Risk Team,
  • Providing administrative support to the Clinical Governance team,
  • Providing executive officer support to committees, including agenda preparation, minute taking and follow up of action items,
  • Managing correspondence, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with the coordination of committee meetings and events

About you:

  • Proven well developed communication skills (oral, written and interpersonal),
  • Ability to provide administrative support to a diverse team of professionals,
  • The ability to interact and work with people from diverse backgrounds such as professional and non-professional staff, external agencies and members of the community,
  • Providing administrative support to an Executive Officer at meetings,
  • Proven experience in advanced computing skills, including email and word processing,
  • Robust understanding of Microsoft Office suite of program, particularly, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams SharePoint and Publisher,
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organisational and time management skills,
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve conflict in a respectful manner
