Transform Healthcare Infrastructure - Senior Project Manager - Redevelopment Team 
Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN), Bedford Park

Be part of an exciting project that will shape the services for the Southern Community. A short-term opportunity exists to be a part of the Southern Redevelopment Team to progress key project milestones across multiple SALHN Sites. The successful applicant will play a key role in the delivery and commissioning of the Noarlunga Hospital Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit (late 2025) and the Margaret Tobin - Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (due early 2026). A key component of this role will also involve the co-ordination of stakeholders impacted by critical infrastructure upgrades happening at Flinders Medical Centre over the next 6 months. 

About the role: 

Reporting to the Project Lead, Decant & Disruptions, some of your duties for the role will include:

  • Budget preparation, monitoring and reporting and adherence to resources allocations.
  • Utilise sound project management skills and methodologies to manage projects of significant scope, complexity and sensitivity which aim to deliver health system improvement,
  • Working with media and communications to develop communication strategies and targeted communications in a timely manner,
  • Apply and share expert clinical knowledge to improve patient care outcomes,
  • Liaise with external stakeholders and government agencies to advocate for the health services to ensure positive outcomes are achieved for our patients and staff,
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders across the organisation to identify critical project impacts to device delivery and work collaboratively to manage and mitigate impacts in a timely and professional manner,
  • Actively monitor performance in the realisation of project benefits.

About you:

  • Proven experience in managing reform initiatives, and knowledge of recognised and accepted project management methodologies (desirable),
  • Significant demonstrated experience in Project Management and managing complex programs of work, in a complex organisation, and during periods of significant change,
  • Ability to think logically and strategically, identifying issues and developing options to resolve in a collaborative manner,
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience,
  • Experience in a range of complex project and policy development work, ideally in the health care sector.

This is a single vacancy, with three possible appointment classifications. The successful applicants will be appointed in the position appropriate to their skills, qualifications, and experience.

Please note that this position is multi-classed as either a AHP4, ASO8 or RNM3 and classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.
