  • Weekly Salary $1,106.10- $1,117.60 WHA3 | multiple positions various hours  – Permanent Ongoing positions available working across a 7 day roster including day/afternoon/night shifts 

We are seeking dedicated and reliable Patient Service Assistants to join our Corporate Service team!

About the role: 

Reporting to the Floor Coordinator, this position plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of our Hotel Services team. You will be responsible for providing timely, hygienic, and high-quality food and cleaning services in accordance with agreed schedules and hospital procedures. Close working relationships with a multi-disciplinary team. Works collaboratively with staff and all members of the health care team. Contributes to the day to day operations of the unit.

Key duties include:

  • Assisting with general and/or specialised cleaning of areas and equipment
  • Adhering to infection control procedures and Food Safety Standards 
  • Following daily work routines and schedules as directed by supervisors
  • Contributing to a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to WHS and hospital protocols
  • Actively participating in team meetings, mandatory training, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Upholding SALHN values and maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and a patient-first mindset in all work

About you:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility in work routines and a proactive approach
  • Strong attention to detail and hygiene
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including manual handling
  • Understanding of WHS and infection control principles
  • Commitment to providing care with the same quality we would expect for our own family
