Are you enthusiastic about supporting individuals to lead fulfilling and independent lives? Bordertown Memorial Hospital is seeking dynamic and compassionate Leisure and Lifestyle Assistants to join our casual pool and enhance the quality of life for our residents.

About the Role: As a Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant, you'll play a vital role in encouraging our residents to maintain their independence and participate in a diverse range of meaningful activities. Your role will be cantered around supporting their individual needs, goals, and preferences, all while enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, implementing, and reviewing a diverse recreational program that promotes a normal and enjoyable lifestyle for residents, respecting their individuality, rights, and freedom of choice.
  • Support and guide students, volunteers, and staff in delivering activities, encouraging participation across all areas and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Liaise with the Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator, residents, and other staff to ensure programs meet resident needs and preferences, including maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Participate in professional development, mandatory training, and service improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of care and recreational service delivery.
