About the Role

Be part of shaping the next generation of doctors at the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN), where education and healthcare excellence go hand in hand. CALHN is seeking Medical Education Officers to lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality educational programs for Interns within a dynamic teaching hospital environment at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

In this role, you will coordinate orientation, simulation sessions, teaching programs, and professional development workshops while ensuring alignment with the Australian Medical Council (AMC) framework and national standards. You’ll also contribute to policy innovation, accreditation support, and the advancement of medical education across the network.

Whether you're from a nursing (RN3) or administration (ASO6) background, this is a unique opportunity to lead, mentor, and influence the future of healthcare by delivering exceptional intern education and supporting doctors at the beginning of their medical careers.

About You

To succeed, you will be an experienced healthcare educator or leader with a passion for professional development and education. You will bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field – OR – Registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (RN3 stream).

  • Demonstrated leadership and the ability to drive educational innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and evaluate training programs within clinical or health education settings.

  • Subject to relevant clearance and vaccination requirements
