Join Our Team as a Direct Care Worker (Residential) – Provide Compassionate Support to Residents

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of older people? This is your opportunity to play a hands-on role in delivering person-centred care within our Residential Care Home.

About the Role:

As a Direct Care Worker (Residential), you will assist in providing direct client services to residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity and wellbeing are maintained. Working as part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team, you will collaborate closely with health professionals and contribute to a safe and caring environment. You will be accountable to the Nurse Unit Manager and Hotel Services Manager and play a vital role in supporting residents’ daily needs.

What We’re Looking For:

• Completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the position.
• Proven experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day to day execution of a position.
• Experience in the provision of a direct care service in a health-related field.
• Experience in dealing with aged, frail or disabled persons.
• Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.

Applicant Information

This is a part time vacancy, working 72 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements:

• DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check
• National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)
• Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A
