About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Paediatric Critical Care Medicine team (DPCCM) as a Nurse Educator.

Key duties of the role:

• Integrating clinical expertise and personal experience to support decision-making, innovation, and objective analysis.
• Contributes to competency improvement, reviews practices, and implements change.
• Works with leadership to enhance care, reduce complaints, and promote cultural sensitivity and equity in services.
• Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure and prioritise workloads.  

Skills and Experience

• Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
• Critical Care Qualification – (Certificate appropriate to the area and role)
• Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post-graduation experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse or holds an Associate Nurse Unit Manager position.
• Demonstrate competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with NMDA and relevant professional college standards of practice.
