About the Role:

The Regional Clinical Risk Manager applies their clinical knowledge and experience to provide pivotal coordination of patient and client care delivery across Health Units and Community Services. With a focus on line management, coordination, and leadership of nursing, midwifery, and multidisciplinary team activities, this role ensures continuity and quality of care to achieve positive outcomes. Employees in this position accept accountability for the outcomes of nursing, midwifery, and multidisciplinary practices, addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy while fostering team performance and a positive workplace culture in the interest of patient and client outcomes. A core responsibility of the role is to coordinate and implement a comprehensive clinical risk management framework, working collaboratively with staff across all disciplines to align with organisational strategic directions and ensure the effective identification and management of clinical risks.

About You:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Registered Nurse and or Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience.
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing and/or midwifery practice in accordance with the relevant standards.
  • Experience in management and leadership roles.
  • Experience in the supervision of students, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses and or midwives.
  • Experience in developing procedures, managing change and evaluating outcomes related to the identification, analysis, assessment, treatment and monitoring of an organisation’s clinical risks.
  • Experience in project management.

Applicant Information:

  • This is a part time vacancy, working 45.6 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
