About the role

As a Medical Scientist, you will bring your scientific expertise and technical knowledge to deliver high-quality diagnostic services that directly support patient care. In this role, you will perform a wide range of routine diagnostic techniques, contributing to problem definition, planning, execution, analysis, and reporting. Your work will be integral to ensuring accuracy and reliability in test results, helping clinicians make informed decisions and improving health outcomes for the community.

You will also have the opportunity to expand your professional skills by contributing to the development and adoption of new techniques and methodologies. Working under supervision, you will be part of a collaborative and supportive team environment that values innovation, continuous improvement, and shared learning. About You

You will be a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Scientist who brings a strong scientific foundation, practical laboratory experience, and a commitment to high-quality diagnostic testing. With excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, you will play an active role in ensuring the delivery of accurate and reliable laboratory services.

  • Qualifications & Knowledge – Hold a Bachelor of Science/Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent, with sound knowledge of laboratory principles, practices, and quality procedures.

  • Technical & Diagnostic Skills – Skilled in laboratory testing, data processing, and the use of analytical equipment and software applications, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain laboratory instruments.

  • Teamwork & Communication – Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to work cooperatively in multidisciplinary teams and provide excellent customer service.

  • Organisation & Initiative – Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, follow laboratory protocols with accuracy, and proactively identify and resolve potential problems.
