Project Officer- SALHN

This ASO5 Project Officer role offers the opportunity to lead impactful healthcare initiatives that directly enhance patient care and community health outcomes across Southern Adelaide. You will be part of implementing key projects within our PMO, working alongside clinical teams and senior leadership to deliver measurable results. About the role: 

Reporting to the Manager, this role is responsible for assisting with project planning, coordination and execution of tasks. Can independently manage small projects (Level 3) from initiating to closure, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and budget. Assists with stakeholder communication, risk management and project documentation.

Duties for the role will include:

  • Support Project Managers to develop detailed project schedules, creating detailed work plans which identify and sequence the activities required to deliver program/project outcomes, dependencies, and risks,
  • Establishing and maintaining accurate project management documents including project plans, scoping documents, budget, schedules, communication,
  • Building and maintaining strong, meaningful, and positive stakeholder engagement with consumers, clinicians, support services, internal and external service provides, other government agencies and broader stakeholder groups,
  • Develop and utilise necessary change management tools, with direction from project Managers for larger projects, or manage for smaller projects

About you:

  • Demonstrated experience in planning, coordination and execution of project activities for complex projects in a health care setting, 
  • Demonstrated experience in independently managing smaller, less complex projects independently in a fast-paced environment from initiation to closure, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and budget,
  • Demonstrated experience in written and oral communication including the ability to communicate clearly, collaboratively and concisely, to a diverse audience in a variety of formats, including not limited to project documents and briefings,
  • Demonstrated experience in independently managing smaller, less complex projects independently in a fast-paced environment from initiation to closure, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and budget,
  • Experience in understanding stakeholder engagement, risk management and project governance,
  • Knowledge of risk management principles. Experience in contributing to the development of appropriate policies, strategies, standards and business cases
