About the role
As the Contracts & Business Modelling Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial and operational performance of Statewide Clinical Support Services (SCSS). Reporting to the Unit Performance Pricing Manager, you’ll oversee the strategic management of costing and modelling services across SA Pathology, SA Pharmacy, SA Medical Imaging and BreastScreen SA. Your work will directly support critical decisions on resource allocation, capital investments, purchasing and cost control, helping to ensure high-quality health services are delivered efficiently and sustainably.

This is a highly influential role where you will undertake complex data analysis and business process modelling, while providing expert, timely advice to SCSS Executives and the Department for Health and Wellbeing’s senior management. You’ll be a trusted source of governance and expertise, ensuring policies and procedures uphold best practice in costing and modelling. Working collaboratively with leaders across the agency, you will contribute to innovative solutions and strategic improvements that strengthen financial decision-making and deliver long-term value to the health system.

About You
You will be an accomplished professional with a degree-level qualification in Accounting or Economics and proven expertise in financial and data analysis within complex environments. Highly motivated and adaptable, you will bring strong analytical, communication and leadership skills to deliver meaningful insights and support informed decision-making across the health system.

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Proven ability to analyse complex data, develop models, and provide practical business solutions.

  • High-level communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills across all organisational levels.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Advanced computer literacy, including expertise in Microsoft Office, SQL, Power BI and Oracle reporting.
