About the Role:

As a Nurse Midwife Educator – Emergency Focus, you will draw on your clinical knowledge and experience to provide a corporate support service to nursing and midwifery practice. Your work will encompass the development and delivery of education, training, and learning experiences designed to enhance the skills of staff and strengthen patient care.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide education and training support to wards, units, community programs, or specific groups of staff.
  • Lead education initiatives within a dedicated portfolio of training and development.
  • Coordinate and contribute to projects, programs, and research to drive improvements in educational outcomes and service delivery.
  • Address inconsistencies between practice and policy, ensuring alignment with professional standards.
  • Promote a safe, positive, and collaborative workplace culture in the interest of patient and client outcomes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience.
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in nursing/midwifery education or staff development.
  • Experience in the use of computer packages e.g., Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel
  • Experience working with and understanding of people from varying cultural backgrounds, including Aboriginal Torres Strait Islanders.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply relevant education theory to nursing/midwifery education and practice.
