Creative Digital Graphic Designer - Design compelling visuals that bring our brand and campaigns to life

About the role: 

Reporting to the (Operationally) Principal Communications Advisor and (Professionally) Manager- Corporate Communications, some of your duties for the role will include:

• Collaborating with the Marketing Communications team to create visually compelling content to support advertising campaigns, social media strategies, paid channels, email marketing and web.
• Maintaining and evolving SALHN's brand identity, ensuring consistency in design elements across all materials and touchpoints.
• Providing direction for SALHN’s photographic requirements, including feedback on initial briefs, procuring and working with photographers on location.
• Using editing and post-production programs to create photos and animations.
• Contributing specialist advice to the wider team regarding content and multimedia solutions.

About you:

• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in graphic design, multimedia, visual art or related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to apply effective interpersonal skills to facilitate teamwork and foster the cooperation of others using tact, discretion, impartiality and a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Demonstrated experience in working within a corporate identity framework including the creation of new concepts and design templates and the implementation of existing templates.
• Ability to work within brand guidelines to create fresh, interesting and scroll-stopping designs.
• Highly proficient in graphic and digital design, including the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office to produce content across digital and print sectors.
• Experience in the use of a DSLR camera for photography and video production and ability to adapt to changes in technology.
