Join our dedicated team as Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator and contribute to a rewarding environment where every day makes a difference in the lives of our residents.

The Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator plays a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of our residents by coordinating and delivering engaging cognitive, social, and physical programs tailored to individual needs. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, the Coordinator fosters creativity, independence, and meaningful engagement among residents.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assessing residents' cognitive, social, and physical needs to inform program development.
  • Designing and implementing programs that promote resident well-being and independence.
  • Conducting group and individual activities, adjusting strategies based on resident responses.
  • Collaborating with volunteers and reporting progress to the Clinical Services Coordinator.
  • Liaising with families and friends of residents to ensure inclusive care planning.
  • Documenting program outcomes to demonstrate effectiveness.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across diverse backgrounds.
  • Capacity to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and discretion.
  • Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with computer-based programs.
  • Understanding of customer service principles and commitment to resident-centered care.

A current First Aid Certificate and/or TAFE Certificate III in Aged Care, Community Services, or Diversional Therapy (or equivalent) desirable but not essential
