About the Role

Join a customer-focused administration team supporting Home Based Services and Community Health within the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network. The Home Based Services Administration Officer provides professional administrative, reception, and support services for staff and consumers in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering a professional front desk and switchboard service for Community Health clients and staff.
  • Performing timely and accurate word processing, data entry, record management, and maintenance of client appointment and service schedules.
  • Coordinating mail, information packs, meeting rooms, equipment, and fleet bookings.
  • Supporting administrative compliance with medical records and State Records standards.
  • Contributing to effective teamwork, participating in team meetings, and providing oversight to volunteers and trainees as required.
  • Supporting departmental planning and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and legislation—including confidentiality, occupational health and safety, and equal opportunity.

Essential Criteria

  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service focus and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in maintaining client records and information.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, solve problems, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Commitment to public sector values: integrity, respect, accountability, and service.

Desirable

  • Experience with medical terminology and/or records management in a health care setting.
  • Proficiency with database system entry and statistics.
  • Familiarity with retention and destruction schedule for health records.
