Overview

Looking for a change in your nursing career? Whether you're looking to expand your clinical skills, enjoy more flexibility or just need a change, we’d love to hear from you. Community nursing is a rewarding field where you’ll build strong connections with patients and families while supporting hospital avoidance strategies.

In Community & Allied Health, your wellbeing matters. We understand the importance of work-life balance and may be able to offer flexible working arrangements, including school hours, shorter shifts, or casual roles. This role offers a 5-day service from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday, delivering high-quality nursing care in an outpatient setting - either in our clinic settings or in patients’ homes within the Elliston District council area encompassing the communities of Elliston and Lock.

You will provide various nursing services, including wound management (chronic, complex and acute), venepuncture, CVAD management, urinary catheter management, Baxter infusions, stoma management, medication administration and post-acute care. You’ll be part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team working alongside many specialist teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct person-centred nursing care and advanced clinical nursing services to patients in a variety of community health settings.
  • Take accountability for personal practice standards, delegating tasks to others and fostering development.
  • Support the development of nursing practice by guiding less experienced staff and students.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver the best care outcomes.
  • Manage and prioritise your workload effectively to meet care delivery goals.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, ensuring patient safety and optimal care standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • Registered Nurse with at least 3 years of post-registration experience
  • Ability to lead, support, and mentor other nursing staff, including students and enrolled nurses.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within the clinical setting.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritising care while meeting deadlines.
  • Solid wound care knowledge with a broad understanding of wound care dressings and the healing process.
  • Knowledge of contemporary healthcare issues and quality improvement systems.
  • If you are a skilled, motivated nurse ready to contribute to a forward-thinking healthcare service, we want to hear from you!
