Mental Health Support Worker – Join Our Compassionate Team in the Riverland Mallee Coorong LHN Mental Health Service

About the Role:

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated range of evidence-based, recovery-oriented services within the Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network Mental Health Service.

Working under the supervision of a clinician, you will provide non-clinical psychosocial support services to consumers, helping them understand and engage with the concept of recovery and rehabilitation. Your role will be practical and hands-on, supporting consumers in achieving the goals outlined in their individual care plans.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering non-clinical, recovery-focused psychosocial support.
  • Assisting consumers in achieving goals identified in their care plans.
  • Promoting recovery, wellness, and rehabilitation through information and guidance.
  • Working collaboratively with clinicians, service providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Providing support across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings, with flexibility to work across multiple sites.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in reporting to and liaising with multiple stakeholders across the spectrum of community services or health.
  • Experience in working with people who have health and/or mental health related issues.
  • Experience in working within a community services team environment and successful participation in such a setting.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office software packages including word processing, desktop publishing, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience working with multi-cultural and Aboriginal consumers.
