An experienced Senior Clinician (Workforce Support) is sought for a pivotal leadership role in the Community and Allied Health team at Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN). This position is ideal for a passionate professional dedicated to workforce development, service quality, and strategic healthcare innovation in alignment with the SA Rural Allied and Scientific Health Workforce Plan 2021-2026.

About the Role

  • Lead improvements in quality, safety, and the community-driven distribution of allied health services across EFNLHN.
  • Drive model of care and workforce development initiatives, working closely with allied health staff, education teams, and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Provide expert clinical consultation, education, and mentorship – supporting professional development across a diverse workforce, including allied health assistants.
  • Operationalise the strategies of the SA Rural Allied and Scientific Health Workforce Plan with a focus on building a skilled and sustainable rural workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver complex clinical and consultancy services with professional independence across EFNLHN and its networks, utilising a combination of advanced clinical skills and reflective practice.
  • Advise management on service development, clinical practice redesign, and resource allocation based on demand and community health needs.
  • Facilitate formal clinical supervision arrangements and support ongoing professional development through mentoring, training, and education partnerships.
  • Coordinate clinical placements, contribute to workforce planning, support development of extended and advanced scopes of practice, and promote allied health across the LHN, including local schools and Aboriginal health pathways.

Essential Requirements

  • Recognised allied health qualification, relevant professional association membership, and registration (if applicable).
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership, service innovation, workforce support, and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, cultural competency, and client-centred practice.
  • Willingness to travel within the region and maintain compliance with clearance, immunisation, and credentialing requirements.
