About the Role

As the Technical Project Manager, Projects, you will play a key role in leading the design, coordination, and delivery of critical network infrastructure services at the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH). Reporting to the Senior Manager – Digital Design, Innovation and Change, you will oversee complex technical projects that underpin the hospital’s digital transformation, ensuring seamless connectivity, reliability, and performance across enterprise and wireless networks. Your expertise will support the ongoing innovation of CALHN’s digital systems, enhancing operational efficiency and patient care through cutting-edge technology solutions.

In this high-impact role, you will apply your deep technical knowledge across enterprise networking, mobility, data centre architecture, and security to validate designs and vendor proposals. You will also provide leadership and direction to IT contractors, suppliers, and consultants, ensuring project milestones are achieved within scope, time, and budget. About You

You are a strategic and technically proficient leader who thrives on delivering complex ICT infrastructure projects in large, dynamic environments. With a blend of technical acumen, project management expertise, and strong interpersonal skills, you excel at driving digital transformation and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and secure network solutions.

  • Educational/Vocational Qualifications – A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, network engineering, telecommunications, or a related field, complemented by professional certifications in networking or technical domains.

  • Personal Abilities/Aptitudes/Skills – Exceptional planning, leadership, and analytical abilities, with proven skill in managing multiple high-value projects, navigating strategic and operational challenges, and delivering informed, timely decisions. Strong communication and negotiation skills, coupled with the capacity to lead diverse teams and manage change effectively.

  • Experience – Extensive experience overseeing complex ICT projects, staff, and multi-million-dollar budgets within large organisations. Demonstrated success in implementing regional or state-level strategies, providing senior advisory services, and interpreting policy and legislation in an enterprise context.

  • Knowledge – Comprehensive understanding of enterprise networking, software-defined access (SDA), and data centre architecture, supported by deep knowledge of project management and change management principles within complex organisational structures.
