    • $87,416 - $110,497 p.a (pro rata) | RN/M2C
    • $91,785 - $106,330 p.a (pro rata) | AHP2
    • $76,561 - $80,256 p.a (pro rata) | ASO4
  • In addition to base salary, this position attracts Superannuation, Leave Loading, and Salary Sacrificing Benefits (salary packaging).  The classification RN/M may also be eligible for Zone Allowance and once off Incidental Payment (conditions apply), and Professional Development Allowance.

About the Role:

The Training & Development Officer (ASO4) is responsible for delivering targeted training sessions, including Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Safety Intervention and Manual Handling training, across the Local Health Network. This role ensures the organisation meets its Work Health & Safety training obligations by providing high-quality, compliant, and engaging learning experiences. Working closely with the Senior Work Health & Safety Consultant and reporting to the Education Team, the ASO4 Training & Development Officer plays a key role in building workforce capability, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting continuous learning across the network.

The Allied Health Manual Task Facilitator (AHP2) provides specialist education and training in manual handling and mandatory training requirements across all disciplines within the Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network (FUNLHN). The AHP2 Facilitator coordinates the development, delivery, and evaluation of training programs and contributes to workforce education and capability-building initiatives. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and the Nursing and Midwifery Education Team, this role supports clinical teaching, research, and professional development activities. By promoting best practice and supporting staff across disciplines, the AHP2 Facilitator enhances safety, quality, and learning across the network.

The Clinical Nurse/Midwife Training & Development Officer (RN/M2C) provides advanced nursing and/or midwifery education through the delivery of targeted training sessions such as CPI Safety Intervention and Manual Handling training across the Local Health Network. As an RN/M2C, the incumbent supports the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager and education teams in leading and guiding staff, promoting best practice, and ensuring compliance with Work Health & Safety requirements. This role contributes to the professional development of colleagues, assists with implementing practice improvements, and fosters a positive and progressive learning environment that strengthens workforce capability and patient care standards.

 

About You:

RN/M2C

  • Registered as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who a current practicing certificate.
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with a minimum of 3 years’ full-time equivalent post-registration experience and demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice.
  • Experience in providing leadership and direction to student, enrolled, and less experienced registered nurses.
  • Sound knowledge of the Health, Safety and Welfare Act, Risk Management principles, SA Health data capture standards, and Records Retention and Destruction requirements.

AHP2

  • Must hold a recognised qualification within the relevant allied health profession and be eligible for full membership of the relevant Professional Association.
  • For those disciplines requiring Registration, all requirements must be fulfilled to achieve and maintain current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA). For self-regulated professions, it is desirable to participate in the professional associations accredited continuous professional development program.
  • A higher qualification in a relevant area such as health service management, professional specialisation/clinical education will be highly regarded.

ASO4

  • Experience providing a confidential, efficient, and effective administrative service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, CHRIS21, Excel, Moodle, and general office equipment.
  • Skilled in research, data collection, analysis, report preparation, and coordination of minor projects.
