About the role

The WCHN Director of Nursing and Midwifery Workforce and Professional Practice will partner with and support the Executive Director of Nursing and Midwifery and Consumer Experience, to achieve relevant strategic objectives within the Nursing and Midwifery Directorate, excellence in evidence informed service delivery across acute and community services.

Key duties of the role

  • Lead strategic projects to influence practice design and service innovation, ensure efficiencies in operations and support research
  • Oversee infection control and statewide paediatric immunisation portfolios
  • Partner with divisional leaders on service planning and model of care reform
  • Champion consumer co-design, quality improvement, and patient-centred care

Skills and Experience

  • Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with current AHPRA registration
  • Senior leadership in personnel, finance, strategy and service delivery
  • Experience driving major change, innovation and consumer engagement
  • Strong governance focus with knowledge of quality improvement systems
  • Advanced communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
