About the Role

RN2  As an Aged Care Needs Assessor – Clinical (ACAS), you’ll play a vital role in supporting older Australians and their families by helping them access the care and services they need most. Working across both community and hospital settings, you’ll carry out comprehensive, needs-based assessments using the Integrated Assessment Tool (IAT) within the My Aged Care system. Your expertise will ensure that every client’s individual circumstances are considered with care and accuracy, while you capture important information to guide the next steps in their aged care journey.

In this role, you’ll be more than an assessor – you’ll be a trusted source of guidance. By providing up-to-date advice on aged care pathways, including in-home support, residential care, respite and flexible options, you’ll empower clients and their carers to make informed choices about their future. Collaboration is key, and you’ll work closely with health professionals, service providers and a range of stakeholders to ensure each client receives the right care at the right time. This is a role where your clinical knowledge, empathy, and communication skills come together to make a real and lasting difference in people’s lives.

AHP2  As an Assessor with the Central Adelaide Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT), you’ll play a vital role in supporting older people to access the right care and services for their needs.
