About the Role

RN-1  This is a wonderful opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to build their career and make a real difference in the lives of people experiencing mental health challenges. As a valued member of our Mental Health team, you’ll provide high-quality, person-centred care in a supportive environment where professional growth is encouraged. Guided by experienced Level 2/3 Mental Health Nurses, you’ll develop your skills and confidence as you progress from a novice to a proficient practitioner, taking accountability for your own standards of care and contributing to a culture of excellence. Your role will involve delivering direct and comprehensive nursing care, individual case management, and facilitating education, counselling and group work to support consumers in achieving their best possible health and recovery. Working in alignment with the National Mental Health Policy, National Standards and the values of SA Health, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and community partners to provide compassionate, holistic and recovery-focused care.

RN-2  As a Clinical Nurse (CN) within the Mental Health Care Program (MHCP), you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, compassionate mental health care across a variety of settings. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and capable practitioner whose experience and further study have consolidated their practice. You’ll take pride in being accountable for your own standards, supporting and guiding less experienced staff, and contributing to a collaborative and professional team culture. While your focus will be on providing direct, person-centred clinical care and individual case management, you’ll also have the chance to contribute to education, research, and service development projects aligned with MHCP priorities. Working within the framework of the National Mental Health Policy and SA Health’s vision and values, you’ll help consumers achieve their best possible health and recovery outcomes through education, counselling, group work, and strong partnerships with other professionals and community organisations.
