Overview:

Responsible for the coordination and implementation of the stakeholder and partnerships strategy and events for Preventive Health SA (PHSA), that meets the vision, aim and objectives of the agency and furthers its strategic priorities including:

  • Lead and develop the organisation-wide Stakeholder and Partnerships Engagement Strategy and implementation of the plan that supports the agency’s role, purpose and priorities in preventive health. This includes local government and other organisations and stakeholders that support PHSA’s preventive health objectives.
  • Lead and develop the organisation’s event strategy and implementation plan that enables PHSA to increase its reach into key health and community groups that supports our broader work of improving health outcomes for the population.
  • Ensuring timely, consistent and quality relationship building skills to widen our reach across state and local government agencies, other NGOs to support Preventive Health SA operating as an independent government agency, promoting awareness about the role, purpose and priorities of the agency, and supporting implementation of agency strategic directions and priority initiatives.
  • Overseeing coordination of agency partnership activities and provision of high-quality relationship building and engagement with external organisations.
  • Managing the development and implementation of stakeholder communication strategies, including briefings, newsletters and other key communication strategies to engage external organisations.
  • Leading the monitoring, evaluation and enhancement of stakeholder communication tactics to meet changing priorities and desired outcomes.
  • Lead the implementation of key events and partnerships in the community to promote our work and broaden our reach. Work with business, Not for Profit organisations and other government departments to develop strong partnerships and promote the work of PHSA.
  • Identify public relations (PR) opportunities to help maintain positive relationships with various stakeholders and promote the work of PHSA in the community.
  • Work closely with the Department for Health and Wellbeing (DHW) Media team to leverage PR opportunities from our events and partnership activities to help shape public perception and influence opinions about PHSA.

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
