About the role

As a valued member of our Pharmacy team, you will be responsible for the organisation, management and daily operation of the designated pharmacy area. You will provide a comprehensive, high-level range of pharmacy services, exercising independent and professional judgement to deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based pharmaceutical care. Your work will support patients, medical and nursing staff, and other health professionals in achieving optimal therapeutic outcomes, in alignment with hospital and divisional policies, procedures, and professional standards.

This role plays a key part in promoting the quality use of medicines across the organisation. You will contribute to patient safety and service excellence by offering expert medicines information, clinical advice, and implementing strategies that ensure pharmaceuticals are used in a cost-effective and outcome-focused manner. Through collaboration, leadership, and commitment to best practice, you will help optimise patient outcomes and uphold the highest standards of pharmacy practice.

About You

You are an experienced and motivated pharmacy professional who demonstrates clinical excellence, leadership, and a strong commitment to patient-centred care. With a proven ability to operate effectively in a complex healthcare environment, you combine technical expertise with outstanding communication and organisational skills to deliver safe, high-quality pharmacy services.

  • Qualified and Registered: Hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and are registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.

  • Experienced and Knowledgeable: Bring extensive hospital pharmacy experience, including leadership, supervisory or management responsibilities, and a sound understanding of professional codes and standards.

  • Skilled and Analytical: Possess strong problem-solving, research, and data analysis skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver work accurately within tight timeframes.

  • Collaborative and Supportive: Excel in communication, teamwork, and staff development, with the ability to educate, mentor, and guide both professional and non-professional staff within a multidisciplinary health care setting.
