About the role: 

Reporting to the Head of Respiratory & Sleep Services both Operationally and Professionally, this role is part of a national trial for patients with MND. Some of your duties for the role will include:

  • Ability to manage and maintain effective communication with patients, carers, investigators, sponsors and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure dissemination of information to Trials manager
  • Participate in clinical trial monitoring/auditing internally and externally with regulatory and protocol requirements of the trial
  • Acting as the patient advocate to assist the individuals to make informed decisions
  • Plan and coordinate services with other disciplines or agencies in providing individual health care needs to the Respiratory trial population
  • Acting as a resource to unit staff in relation to all aspects of clinical trial coordination and management

About you:

  • For appointment at MeS1 Level - Bachelor of Health Science or Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent qualification
  • Prior experience in sleep research/sleep laboratory experience
  • Effective skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines within a clinical trials and research framework
  • Demonstrated competence in Research/Clinical Trials in accordance with the relevant standards
