    • $1,128.60 - $1,140.30 per week (pro rata) | WHA4
    • $1,106.10 - $1,117.60 per week (pro rata) | WHA3
  • Eligibility: Open to Everyone

Please note that as this position is multi-classed as either a WHA4 or WHA3, the classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.

 

Join Our Team as a Direct Care Worker (Community) – Support Independence at Home

Make a meaningful impact by helping older people, those who are frail, and people living with disability remain in their own homes with the support they need.

About the Role:

As a Direct Care Worker (Community), you will deliver direct client services that promote dignity, comfort and independence. You will support clients with daily living while working under the guidance of the Community Care Coordinator and alongside Community Health professionals. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to providing high-quality, person-centred care that helps clients maintain independence and connection in their community.

What We’re Looking For:

WHA4

  • Completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the position.
  • Proven experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.
  • Experience in the provision of a direct care service in a health-related field.
  • Experience in dealing with aged, frail or disabled persons.
  • Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.

WHA3

  • Limited experience working with aged, frail or disabled persons in a community/hospital setting.

Applicant Information

This is a multiple positions part time vacancy, hours to be negotiated and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements:

  • DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check 
  • National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)
  • Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A
