About the role

The Physiotherapist delivers high-quality, safe, and effective physiotherapy to women with complex obstetric and gynaecological conditions in outpatient or inpatient settings, aiming to reduce the impact of illness or disability and enhance function. The role is part of the casual staff system, involving weekday, weekend, and evening work.

Key duties of the role

  • Provide high quality, safe and effective clinical Physiotherapy services within a patient centred and multi-disciplinary framework
  • Contribute to teaching and training of staff and students
  • Actively participate in research, quality management, quality assurance and risk management activities and ongoing improvement of physiotherapy services

Skills and Experience

  • Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification, which entitles registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Physiotherapy in the Women’s Health clinical area.
  • Well-developed clinical skills in the physiotherapy management of complex obstetric and gynaecological conditions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a range of staff and consumers on sensitive and complex issues.
