About the role

AHP-1  Join our dedicated Cardiology team as an early career Cardiac Physiologist, where you’ll play a vital role in supporting the cardiovascular health of our patients. You’ll perform a variety of diagnostic tests, including echocardiography, electrophysiology studies, cardiac catheterisation procedures, pacemaker follow-ups, and Holter monitoring. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to emergency on-call procedures, working in a dynamic and supportive environment that values your expertise and commitment to patient care. Training provided.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant science or health related field; and
  • Eligibility for registration as an Accredited Student Sonographer as administered by the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) or its equivalent (if working in Sonography).

AHP-2  The Cardiac Physiologist independently performs standard diagnostic tests in the disciplines of Echocardiography, Electrophysiology, cardiac catherisation/intervention, ambulatory monitoring, and pacemaker assessment including performing more complex tasks relating to implantable defibrillators, stress echocardiography, 3D electrophysiology and assist with emergency on-call procedures. We boast a tremendous amount of pathology, are involved in cutting edge procedures, and are able to provide training across multiple modalities. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science or health related field: and either
    • Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Sonography (or Equivalent); and
    • Registration as an Accredited Sonographer as administered by the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) or its equivalent.
    • OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science or health related field: and
    • Graduate Diploma of Cardiac Electrophysiology (or its recognised equivalent): or
    • Equivalent skills acquired from extensive training and/or experience, as approved by the relevant delegate.
