About the Role

Join the Rural Support Service (RSS) as a Senior Service Design Consultant and help shape the future of health service delivery across country South Australia. This role provides a unique opportunity to lead operational and service planning, support evidence-based rural health reform, and work collaboratively with regional LHNs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert planning support to regional LHNs through the RSS, ensuring alignment with statewide priorities.
  • Analyse data and trends to deliver evidence-based insights that inform rural service design and reform.
  • Facilitate clinician and community engagement to ensure services reflect local needs and priorities.
  • Develop high-quality service plans, reports, and business cases that influence future health delivery in country SA.

About RSS

The RSS is a business unit in SA Health and provides services throughout regional South Australia to support the six regional local health networks (LHNs). It employs around 260 people who work in 37 regional, rural and remote SA locations, or in the RSS’s three Adelaide offices. Many RSS staff enjoy working from home or remotely and benefit from the work-life balance this provides.
