About the role

Provide high-level executive and administrative support across inpatient and outpatient services, coordinating clinics, managing data quality, supporting staff training, and contributing to efficient operations, quality improvement, and project initiatives within Paediatric Medicine.

Key duties of the role

  • Maintain EMR/PAS templates and ensure accurate, timely data entry to support efficient inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Provide supervisory and administrative oversight, including staff coordination, training, and workload management.
  • Monitor service performance, implement improvements, and contribute to quality and workflow initiatives.
  • Deliver expert administrative and secretarial support to the Medical Unit Head and Nursing Service Director, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and culturally sensitive work environment, supporting teamwork and a safe workplace.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in providing quality customer orientated (departmental) services in a complex organisation.
  • Experience in providing a confidential secretarial executive administrative support.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining effective office systems, procedures and technologies.
  • Proven ability to proactively identify problems and issues and to exercise initiative/sound judgement in formulating and implementing solutions and actions.
  • Proven ability to meet stringent deadlines, perform well under pressure and to manage demanding/competing work requirements.
