Overview:

  • The Principal Policy Officer, Legislation is accountable to the Director, Enterprise Program Management for leading and providing expert legislative advice and consultancy services across the Population Health division and Preventive Health SA, developing strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the agency’s governance, legislative and legal obligations are met.
  • The Principal Policy Officer, Legislation will provide high quality and responsive legislative policy advice and actions to the Deputy Chief Executive, Directors and Managers. These functions will result in a contribution to the provision of highly effective and efficient legal and governance services.
  • The Principal Policy Officer, Legislation develops and utilises relationships with stakeholders, including across State Government, Commonwealth and other State and Territory Governments, and non-government sector, to facilitate the engagement of stakeholders and progress strategies to assist portfolios of work across Preventive Health SA.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
