Overview:

Are you passionate about driving positive change in workforce management and supporting the delivery of high-impact projects across South Australia’s public health system?

 

The Department for Health and Wellbeing is seeking a dynamic and highly organised Workforce Projects Consultant to join our Workforce Services team. In this pivotal role, you will provide expert HR consultancy and advisory services, as well as project and administrative support, to help deliver system-wide workforce initiatives and employee relations strategies across SA Health.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and accurate advice on HR and employee relations matters, including policies, procedures, Awards, and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Support the management of executive employment functions, ensuring compliance with legislative and policy requirements.
  • Liaise and collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to progress workforce projects and promote effective workforce management.
  • Undertake research, prepare documentation, and contribute to the development and implementation of workforce policies and strategies.
  • Maintain workforce systems and databases, ensuring accuracy and integrity of information.
  • Drive continuous improvement and contribute to a culture of performance, accountability, and innovation.

Essential requirements:

  • Experience providing HR advisory and consultancy services, including interpreting and administering legislative and policy requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-level administrative and project support, with a track record of producing quality outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working with senior management and diverse teams.
  • Sound understanding of contemporary HR practices, performance management, and public sector administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and records management systems.

 

Desirable:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Law, Business etc.

  • A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
