About the role

As a Technical Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality technical services within your area of expertise. Working both independently and as part of a collaborative team, you will apply your technical knowledge and practical skills to a range of activities that contribute to the smooth operation of laboratory, research, or clinical support functions. Your attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to quality will help ensure accurate, reliable, and efficient outcomes across all technical tasks.

You will contribute to project work and routine operations that require applied technical understanding and sound judgement gained through experience. About You

You are a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Officer with a strong interest in laboratory work and a commitment to quality and precision. With sound technical knowledge, effective communication skills, and a collaborative approach, you take pride in contributing to accurate and reliable outcomes that support broader scientific and organisational goals.

  • Qualified and Skilled: Hold a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a recognised field, supported by knowledge of laboratory principles, scientific practice, and Work Health and Safety requirements.

  • Organised and Reliable: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritise workloads, and maintain accuracy while meeting defined timelines and performance standards.

  • Collaborative and Communicative: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment and handle confidential information professionally.

  • Practical and Problem-Solving: Possess a proactive attitude, sound numerical and computer skills, and the ability to use initiative to resolve problems and contribute to continuous improvement in laboratory operations.
