About the Role:

An exciting opportunity is currently available for medical specialists to work within the Northern Adelaide Geriatric service, which is a fundamental part of the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network. The positions available are open to applications from General Practitioners, General Medicine Physicians, Geriatricians and other suitable subspecialty Physicians.

The Successful applicant will:

  • Contribute to the provision of high standard clinical services to patients of and referred to NALHN Geriatric Services.
  • Contribute to teaching/training at undergraduates and postgraduate levels and participate in research.
  • Contribute to capacity building initiatives within the wider health system to improve access to mainstream services which meet the needs of older people within the NALHN network.

Travel may be required to service patients eligible for NALHN Geriatric Services in the community, residential aged care facilities and hospitals.

To be eligible for this position, you must 

  • Have a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.

The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.
