About the role

As a Radiographer (Breast Imaging), you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mammography screening services within BreastScreen SA’s metropolitan clinics. Your work will directly contribute to the early detection of breast cancer, improving outcomes for women across South Australia. Working with advanced imaging technology and adhering to best practice standards, you will ensure that every patient receives compassionate, professional, and efficient care in a supportive and respectful environment.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with a dedicated team of radiographers, medical practitioners, and administrative staff to uphold BreastScreen SA’s commitment to excellence in women’s health. You will be eligible to hold a Certificate of Mammographic Practice (CMP) from the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT), ensuring your skills align with the highest professional standards in diagnostic imaging and patient care.

About You

You are a qualified and dedicated Radiographer committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic and screening services that promote excellence in women’s health. Your technical expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and compassionate approach ensure that patient receive professional and empathetic care in a supportive environment.

  • Qualified and Accredited: Hold a recognised degree in Diagnostic Radiography and current registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia, supported by accreditation from the Australian Institute of Radiography (or its recognised equivalent).

  • Technically Skilled: Demonstrated experience in general radiography and quality assurance processes, with sound knowledge of mammography techniques and specialised breast imaging views.

  • Patient-Focused and Empathetic: Proven ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with patient from diverse backgrounds, showing empathy and professionalism in examinations of a personal nature.

  • Collaborative and Organised: Able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, manage competing priorities, meet screening targets, and maintain patient satisfaction through reliable, flexible, and proactive work practices.
