As an Enrolled Nurse, you will support Registered Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team in providing safe, person-centred care across a dynamic theatre environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Maintain sterile fields and prepare surgical instruments and equipment
  • Support surgical teams during procedures as a scrub or circulating nurse
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centred care
  • Assist with surgical preparation, intraoperative support, and post-operative care.
  • Engage with patients and families to provide compassionate, person-centred care.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and maintain accurate documentation.

To be appointed to this role, you must be registered or eligible for registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and who holds, or is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.

In order to administer medicines, you must have completed a Board-approved program of study which includes an administration of medicines unit.

  • A commitment to person-centred care, professional development, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in providing nursing care in accordance with professional standards and organisational policies.

Lyell McEwin Hospital The major hospital in the north and north-east for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetrics, paediatrics and outpatient services.

Modbury Hospital A general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.

Mental Health - The Division of Mental Health provides a comprehensive range of public mental health services for youth, adults and older people in northern Adelaide. Services are provided through community health centres and hospitals, and to consumers in their own homes. 

Forensic Mental Health - A statewide service that operates as part of the Division of Mental Health for forensic patients and prisoners. 

Community Sites - Elizabeth GP Plus, Modbury GP Plus and Gilles Plains GP Plus Super Clinics providing community based care.
