Overview:

  • The Manager, Coding and Health Records is responsible for leading the development, delivery and evaluation of health information governance programs, projects and services that effectively maintain the Clinical Coding Framework and Health Records Management Policy and ensure accurate health records and clinical coded data across the Department. 
  • The role leads and manages a team of specialists in the delivery of complex information management, governance and coding functions and services including the provision of specialist health record and clinical classification advisory services across SA Health and the Local Health Networks.
  • The Manager, Coding and Health Records plans, delivers, and evaluates clinical coding audits and documentation audits of metropolitan and country hospitals and provides expert clinical classification advice to the Department for Health and Wellbeing, health care units and external agencies on the retrieval and analysis of clinical coded data and in the identification and resolution of related issues and risks.

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
