About the Role

As a Senior Speech Pathologist within CALHN Geriatric Care Services, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients with complex health needs. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centred speech pathology services, addressing communication, swallowing, and cognitive disorders, while working closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team. Your expertise will help shape and coordinate care pathways, ensuring every patient receives tailored, goal-focused interventions that support their rehabilitation and quality of life.

In this leadership role, you will provide clinical guidance, mentorship, and professional supervision to other speech pathologists and assistants, fostering a supportive learning environment. You will also contribute to service development, representing speech pathology on committees and working parties, and advocating for best practice across CALHN. About You

You are an experienced and highly skilled speech pathologist with a passion for delivering patient-centred care to adults with complex needs. With strong clinical expertise, leadership experience, and excellent teamwork and communication skills, you thrive in multidisciplinary settings and are committed to continuous improvement and professional excellence.

  • Eligible for full membership of Speech Pathology Australia with 3+ years’ clinical experience

  • Skilled in patient-centred, evidence-based care for adults with complex communication and swallowing needs

  • Experienced in clinical supervision, interdisciplinary teamwork, and leading service improvements

  • Strong communicator and leader, able to foster collaboration, critical thinking, and inclusion within teams
